Rachel Gray Rachel began her PhD in April 2021. Her research focuses on investigating hybridization as an evolutionary process in the Galapagos giant tortoises. An important part of her project is informing the management of the captive breeding program for the Floreana tortoise.
Sarah Griffin Sarah began her PhD in September 2022, funded through the IAFRI DTP and co-supervised by Edward Haynes and Eleanor Jones from Fera Science. Her project is develop molecular genomic and informatics tools to monitor outbreaks of a plant pathogenic nematode, Meloidogyne fallax, and an invasive hornet, Vespa velutina.
